Kate and RSV

Monday was Canon’s birthday and I was hoping to get a lot done during the day for it. I was not actually able to get much done though because Kate was not feeling well. She would not eat much and could not sleep much either and cried a whole bunch. Brad was able to come home early so I could take her to insta-care and have her checked out. When I got there they said it would be a 45 minute wait and asked if I wanted to wait. I said yes, and they said someone could check her oxygen levels if I wanted. the nurse came out in the waiting room and checked her oxygen, but said she did not think her thing was working, so she went to get another one. after checking her again, she said “Oh, we need to get her on oxygen right away, so without even checking in she took us right back and they put kate on oxygen and also did a nebulizer? treatment. Her oxygen was still pretty low and the test came back positive for RSV. Because they could not send me up to primary’s without Kate being on oxygen they called an ambulance to come take us up. That was my first time in an ambulance and I hope the last. Brad meet us up at Primary’s and Kate’s nose was sucked out a couple times, but her oxygen still went down so they then admitted her to stay overnight. Kate was so exhausted and so sick looking it was very sad, though she was able to sleep some and that was a good thing. Her pediatrician happened to be on call and came in to check on her that first night. She ended up staying 2 nights, and she improved really quickly which we are very grateful for. I did not get any pictures of her when she was feeling her worst, but I did remember to take some after she got feeling better. She had a cough and was sick for a while after, but has improved and is almost better now. I am so grateful for Primary’s and the nurses!

Party Time

We had our birthday party for half the Millett side. Brad, Canon and Addie were included in that and we had some good times. Maura made a pinata and the kids loved it. Addie got a cute apron, sleeping beauty lip gloss, a hair band and a baby set. Canon got some legos and a transformer and a batman car. Brad got a hat and an itunes card.

Katy’s Baby Shower

We had a shower for Katy, who is going to have a little girl at the end of March. Laura brought a blanket to quilt with fabric from Oma’s house and we all got a chance to visit and eat lunch. Monica was visiting her sick grandma and could not make it, but most everyone could come and it was great to visit with everyone. Emily made a cute book with advice from all the kids and then we all put some advice in there as well. Kelli made a very cute quilt. We are all so excited for Dan and Katy! Berlin will be so loved!

Addie is 3!

Addie is now three years old. For her birthday she wanted a Sleeping Beauty cake and nothing else. It took a while for her to finally decide that she wanted hotdogs for dinner, and not just cake. I wore a skirt and a tiara that I had from my wedding and Addie dressed up in her Aurora outfit. Canon was a prince and we had a ROYAL time at her party! Addie got a cinderella outfit from Canon and Kate, a scooter and helmut from Brad and I, cute pink cowboy boots from grandma and grandpa Millett and a puzzle set and Snow White doll from grandma and grandpa Cox. She loves all her presents and had a great birthday.

Valentines and Planes

We had a fun Valentines day. Brad and I really enjoyed our dinner, though Canon and Addie only liked their jello hearts. On Friday, Canon had fun getting and giving valentines at pre-school and Grandma Cox came and gave Addie some of her own valentines to have.
On Monday we went to Hill Air Force Base Meuseum. We loved seeing all the planes and the place was huge! Brad will have to go back on his own so he can spend all the time he wants there without us getting antsy to go.

Kate’s 1st pony tail and other stuff

Kate’s hair is getting longer and I tried a pony tail which she looks so cute in. Kate is so fun and loves to “chat” with us. Addie has her own opinions and she is not shy about telling others what she wants. Canon loves to pretend and has lots of energy. We love you guys!
